Cotton farmers that may not process their own cotton may want to have it processed at a cotton gin company. A cotton farmer may also sell their cotton to a cotton gin company who may process it and then sell it in bales to textile mills that manufacture cotton textiles. A cotton gin company takes raw cotton that has been harvested and processes it through a set of equipment that includes cotton gins. A cotton gin takes raw cotton and separates the seeds and contaminants from the cotton lint. The cotton lint is then taken to the cotton baler and processed for shipping.
